Oyster 49: World Premiere at Southampton
Oyster 49 is a Rob Humphreys Design with a refined Deck Saloon.
The first New Oyster 49 will be launched in August and premiered at Southampton. Oyster reports ten sales already and is confident that this new model will follow the successful path of her world-cruising Oyster sisters for several good reasons: She has a slippery Rob Humphreys' hull with impeccable handling characteristics, state of the art filleted bulb keel and a full rudder skeg for safety. She has a powerful sloop rig with fully battened mainsail ā but with the optional convenience of in-mast furling and push-button sailing.
The 49 has a third generation Deck Saloon interior design, from the people who first brought this concept to the market, says Oyster. She has a three cabin interior layout comprising an aft owner's stateroom with heads and shower, passageway galley, light and bright saloon, large double-berthed guest cabin forward, an upper/lower berthed guest cabin plus a generously proportioned guest heads/shower.
